City Clerk/Executive Assistant

Duties of the City Clerk/Executive Assistant include: managing City records; serving as elections officer; serving as primary point of contact for citizen inquires and managing front office functions; providing support for finance and utility operations; coordinating IT services; oversees building permit and development activity program; assists with code enforcement activity; manages City public outreach; provides support to City Council and City departments; and assists the City Administrator with special projects.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated multi-tasker that has great organizational skills, has the ability to complete a variety of complex administrative tasks and projects; excels at communication and likes working with internal and external customers. Minimum requirements for the position include a High School degree, five years’ experience in an administrative or customer service role and skilled using Microsoft Office programs, online systems and general office equipment. Municipal or supervisory experience would be a plus.
This is a full-time position, ranging from 35-40 hours a week, with the start date anticipated to be shortly after acceptance. The starting salary is between $4,493 and $5,735 per month based on qualifications. The position has excellent benefits, which includes paid sick time and holidays, as well as family medical, dental and vision benefits. This is an Oregon State Retirement System (PERS) qualified position.
